Three locomotives operated on the SBB network under the brand name “Zugkraft Aargau” as an advertising medium for the “energy canton” of Aargau:
– probably the best known was Re 460 Zugkraft Aargau I
– the successor model Zugkraft Aargau II with the signature of Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard
– the Re 4/4 II Zugkraft Aargau, one of the very few Re 4/4 II with advertising livery
In addition, a control car and passenger cars were also repainted in the Zugkraft Aargau design.

HAG produced various versions of the Re 460 Zugkraft Aargau I locomotive:
– Initially, a pre-series of approximately 10 locomotives was produced, numbered 076.01. Its lettering (Re 4/4 460 instead of just Re 460) and the arrangement of the stars differ slightly from those of the locomotives listed below. However, this type (in stylized form) adorns the boxes of all other Re 460 Zugkraft Aargau I locomotives.

– 076.02 with advertising (standard model)

– 280.22 without advertising, with Jubi logo on the front

– 280.22 without advertising, without the Jubi logo on the front

– 280.89 Variant with chrome case (presumably only 3 units)

– 280,992 variant (design study) with a blue or black background on one side only (unique item)

In 2015, Zugkraft Stucki commissioned a reproduction of the ad-free 280.22 (with mfx decoder)

Additionally, the 280.90 Zugkraft Aargau II «Doris Leuthard» also exists. A version with a built-in mfx decoder was also supplied by Zugkraft-Stucki.

The locomotive 165.07 Re 4/4 II is also not exactly a common sight.

HAG also supplied the corresponding passenger cars A and B EW I 722 and 720 – although the B models are significantly rarer than the A models (pictures to follow)
Railtop also manufactured the corresponding control car No. 21402 (picture to follow)
